The song that showed the world how heavy guitars and rapping could make a pretty good combination. Oh, and that guitar riff is pretty awesome!
I love this! I was into rap in 1978 with Rapper's Delight from the Sugar Hill Gang. I got my first Rap LP in 1980, Grandmaster Flash and the Furious 5 (I still own it...)
But the crossover of rap and metal with Run DMC and the Beastie Boys (1987?)made me a metal fan to this day!
The rap/metal crossover continues to this day and I think it's cool!
Itt makes fans of both genres check out other musical styles...
