Greetings lost traveller! I'm not quite sure how you managed to stumble on the Church Of Blessed Indecision, but since you're here, you may as well pull up a chair and check out my inane ramblings on life, videogames, music and anything else that occupies my mind for a few fleeting seconds before 'the voices' start talking to me again...

Resident Evil 0 (Wii edition)
As you might have guessed, I'm having my usual Resident Evil enthusiasm period. This happens about once every two months and I get all giddy for anything Resident Evil. Right now I'm praying that the Wii edition of RE Zero (originally brought out to mixed reviews on the Gamecube) becomes a European release as well as a Japanese one.
The Wii edition of RE4 made a great game even better. If this title gets a PAL release, I'd snap it up in a heartbeat. If not, I'm already determined to secure it's Gamecube edition. Anyone out there played it? My only experience of it is the RE Zero section of Umbrella Chronicles and I liked it pretty well!
The Wii version will be a waste of money. I can't see how the Wii remote controls will add as much to this game as it did RE4 because they play completley different.
The GameCube version of RE0 must be so cheap right now. You may as well buy that instead.
I think RE0 was one of the weaker games in the series. It didn't add a great deal to the story. The only cool aspect to it was that it brought Billy Coen into the mix. He was a cool ass character and I hope we'll see him again.
The graphics were awesome, as was the sound, and the partner zapping was a cool feature. But it was not on a level with 1, 2, 3, Code: Veronica or 4 by a long shot. The game was far too boring.
I WISH Capcom would REmake Resident evil 2. That game has been long overdue for a remake / re-release.
Never played RE0, but it looked really good when it came out (and still does). I'm with J on this one, I can't see how the Wii's controls will improve the experience, because this type of game plays perfectly with a regular controller, unlike RE4 with all the aiming.
And a RE2 remake would be freaking sweet! It's probably my favourite game of the "classic" RE(the first trilogy, not counting the spin-offs and RE4 which is in a whole different category.
Surely Capcom will eventually remake 2, 3 and RE:CV, the fan base out there who played the originals would buy them, as they did the RE remake. Plus there will be new fans like myself, who first played RE4 or Umbrella Chronicles, then went back to play the earlier incarnations... I'd buy any remake and if they don't appear soon, I'll probably replay every title in the serieds anyway...
I doubt Capcom will remake all of the games. That'd be a huge undertaking and isn't really necessary.
I think Capcom remade the first game because it was the original games' anniversary and also because RE0 was in development - so it made sense to re-introduce the first game with the prequel being imminent.
RE2 on the other hand is the most critically acclaimed in the series alongside RE4. Plus it's the one game where we got many main and crucial characters introduced, Capcom began to take the series seriously and was also the biggest game out of the lot with the best intro and endings. If Capcom can make big sales and make fans fap with any remake of an RE game - it'd be number 2.
RE 2 remake is coming any day now... It'll be a couple of years after RE5... I'll probably be dead then of liver failure/lung cancer/heart attack, but I'll burst back from the grave to play it...

Hay, I never knew such a game was being made! Amazing and excellent detective work oh dear RE-obsessed FK!
I am rather obsessed aren't I Gnome? It's the greatest franchise ever and want to own every incarnation of it!
I loved this game. It was a nice way to tie up the loose ends leading up to the events of the original Resident Evil.

I'm sure it will be released, but I won't be getting it unless the controls- as you all stated show major improvement for the Wii...
Even tho RE2 is the best hands down.
Can't wait for 5.
