Well, it seems I've made something of a 'faux pas' in terms of my gaming choices, as I'm currently the above title. My good friend Funnyman, literally slapped himself in the face, he was so horrified!
As the title suggests, this is an alien based FPS, with a fairly flimsy backstory...
OK, what are my impressions? Well, I haven't found it too bad so far, and I have to say I like the mixture of driving and shooting... Alright, I'll admit that there are a lot of flaws. The graphics are sub-standard for a start... Umbrella Chronicles for the Wii and even games like God Of WarII and RE4 on the PS2 are far superior. There are some really jarring glitches, like guns floating in mid air once they've been discarded and an inconsistency in objects that break when shot.
But as it goes, I've played far worse. I'm wavering as to whether I should complete it now. I want to totally reorganise my games collection and trade a few titles in so I can buy No More Heroes for the Wii and Call Of Duty 4 for the DS...
So, we'll just see, I'm not abandoning it yet. What do you think dear friends, should I take dear Funnyman's advice and trade it in? It'll take me a while to sort out my games, which I might do over the weekend. So I'll hold fire for now and play through for another few days. I've got a bit of a reputation for enjoying games other's have panned... (Red Steel and Blue Stinger spring to mind...) As usual, here's some links!

save your money on no more heroes, i played it for 5 minutes and havent gone back. My suggestion is wait until friday.....i hear mario kart is going to be well worth playing ;-)
Play it until you're bored, that's my advice. :) If you're having fun don't stop just because others say so. And hey, I've played worse games (Soldier of Fortune: Payback...) and I still beat them xD
Soldier of Fortune made me laugh, so that was why I finished it until the bitter end. There is nothing comedic about Area 51.

Just grab No more Heroes, take bits of funnyman's advice, avoid Call of Duty on the DS, rethink your stance on Red Steel and make sure you prepare yourself for Man U unavoidable triumph in the Champions League. Never thought they'd disqualify my beloved Roma so easily. If only Totti were playing... Bah!

I WILL be buying No More Heroes ASAP... I have a DS and GBA copy of MarioKart and could be downloading the 64 edition as I've got a few Wii points left to blow on the VC... So Mario Kart Wii can wait for the moment...

Trade Blacksite, there's better games out. Like Dark Sector for that genre..
Maybe it's just me, but I did not like COD4 for the ds. Traded it off after 3 levels. -for a game like that I cannot go from the 360 down to the DS..
Mario Cart, I might get that myself along with Obscure.. I need a good scary co-op game like that for the wife...
Never played NMHeroes, probably pass cause game time is tight right now.
No More Heroes is actually the only Wii game that interests me, and it looks hilarious. I am not willing to buy a Wii for that one game. But if it ever came to the 360 or PS3, then I would buy it.
Mario Kart I played at the weekend... Whilst highly enjoyable, I didn't see too many improvements on other incarnations... May be the online play will be its salvation...

I'll take your word on COD4 DS deitrix, but I enjoyed RE:DS which everyone else seemed to think was shit...
No More Heroes... If only I had some spare money... Can't even trade Blacksiye as a friend has borrowed it!
