Well I'm there, battling my way slowly and somewhat tentatively through the locust horde... I'm still a tad crap at the controls but I seem to be getting to grips with it... I also get very phased by the amount of hostile fire!
Still very early days yet, but I'm loving what I've seen so far. It's clear to see why this game has been treated a the stuff of legend... Reason on it's own to buy a 360 over a PS3 maybe... Now if only I was more of a bad ass, things would be good... LOL! :)

I hope it doesn't take 10 hours to use a chainsaw in Gears 2.
I've played Gears of War...it was pretty cool. The chaingun was by far the coolest thing about it.

It's rather great, isn't it? Just keep trying till you get the hang of it.
I would like to be able to save your game anywhere in Gears 2 like you can in Mass Effect. That would decrease the frustration and difficulty.
I'm loving Gears, but I also dipped my toe in COD4 and I must admit it's luring me in...

Funnyman, I think CoD is very accessible on the easiest difficulty setting, no harder than your average FPS. Of course this is a guy with, so far, half the game beaten on Elite difficulty speaking...
If you haven't noticed by now Neba, then it should be fairly obvious that I play first person shooters like an ass.
I'm up for a challenge Funnyman. Gears seems harder in the early stages than COD4, but I'm going to have a crack at both.

Unfortunately I can't sign up for that club, I'm fairly good when it comes to shooters. If only you could have seen me during my golden years of playing Counter-Strike... :D
I need to be in that club as well...I suck something awful at FPS.
I am better at third person shooters than first person shooters but not by much. A club father? Sure, let us form a club. Is there any drinking and smoking in this club? If yes, then sign me up. I just hope my blow up dolls will approve of this club. Speaking of club, I plan on posting a review for The Club soon (in case you were interested).

by all means bring booze, cigs and your dolls funnyman! anything to make us feel better about our shooting innacuracies...
