One of the best/most frustrating games I've ever played on the Dreamcast.
The visuals and story are fantastic, but stupid things like for getting to pick up a fire extinguisher in the first hour of gameplay can hamper you 20 hours later! Still a GREAT game! The second title of the franchise that I played to death, I've actually stopped very short of completing the game! This video shows the last 'cut scenes' that I haven't seen...

You may as well just complete the damn thing if you're so close. The scene with Steve did make me sniffle a little.
I also kept getting killed on the part where you have to run away from him. There's no way to get away without taking a couple of hits and it only take 2 of 'em to kill you!
As for the story, it wasn't as good as Resident evil 2's. And the whole brother cross dressing as his sister thing was a little freaky. *lol*
As already stated, never managed to get into this one. Wtched the intro a couple of times though...
The cross dressing brother/sister thing was the thing that attracted me to the game! LOL!
I didn't finish it 'cos I just ran out of steam, like the black and white film of that Olympic marathon runner who's legs go all wobbly before he faints!
Gnome its worth picking up a walkthrough and just playing through it an hour at a time...
Just play 1 to 4. They're the only ones that actually carry the story. 0 and Code: Veronica are just bits on the side. I only managed to sit through 'em because I'm a bit of a Resi nut.
The intro is probably the best thing about the game. Though how Claire manages to drop her gun and then react quickly enough to pick it up before it hits the floor and no one shots her in between all this - I have no idea. *scratches head*
The opening video is sumptuous and I noticed elements were nicked for one of the Resi Evil films (Appocolypse I think...)
They're also borrowing elements of Veronica for the new film...
I've got RE1 for Saturn, RE 2 for Dreamcast and RE:DS (Rebirth mode) for DS! (Which I'm a good way into and loving...)
If I complete Rebirth soon, I'll consider dipping in to RE2 and then maybe hunt down RE3 on ebay...
I finished RE4 which was the second best game I have ever played...
I also fancy the RE:CV Survivor Light gun edition for PS2, but I've heard its shite...
Resident Evil 2 is the best of the bunch in terms of plot, longevity and replay value. Not only do you have both Leon and Claire's stories to play through, but upon completing the game you gain access to their 2nd scenarios. Which introduces new plot lines, characters, areas, item and weapon placement along with the true ending to the game. Which is THE best ending out of all the Resident evil games. So that's a minimum of 4 play throughs!
Resident evil 3 is decent because it's so fast paced. In a similar fashion to 4, you're never in one area for long and constantly moving from area to area. It's not set in one building like the others.
Do you have a GameCube? Resident evil 1 on that is real good, but it's one of those games you won't play through again because it's so blasted difficult.
No Gamecube I'm afraid but with my Wii on the way, I could play it on that...
But I'm playing as Jill on the first installment of the story on RE DS (Re-birth mode) and want to finish that (and about a trillion other games) before I embark on RE 2.
Then there are all the other RE spin off games for PS2 and also Umberella chronicles and the Wii version of RE 4...
Damn! I'm gonna be playing this game for the rest of my life....
