Oh my god! The dreamcast is the gift that keeps on giving. As a latecomer to the scene, it gives me deep joy to keep on discovering how good the scene is! October I discovered Shenmue I & 2.
In November it was House of the Dead 2 with light guns!
January I got a green see through console. In march it was Dead or Alive 2.
Last month I obtained a working Treamcast and this month I have found this site and the DC gallery. (Plus that VMUs have a gaming life of their own which I already suspected!) 
Questions I bought Shenmue 2 before 1 and all the dialogue is in Japanese. I then obtained both a Sega release Shenmue 1 and a pirate copy. Cripes! 
The ensuing English dalogue took away from my gaming experience ten fold! Tom's 'Jamaican' accent. (Shudder!) What gives?Q2. I have never eperienced DC on-line. Can it still be accessed!?

You can still get online with a DC, but you need to select your own ISP and need to get a copy of Dreamkey from Sega. You can order a copy by going to Sega Europe's website. Hope that helps!
thanks for that TLC i appreciate the feedback. Love DCJY and am pleased to know i am not the only one who has a "thang" for the DC! Could regail you with tales of hard earned dollar being invested in 'dead' merchandise, but see something of a revival in the DC. It should be noted that like film, music, gaming and games classics technology does not count! come into the arena... is chess any better cos you can play on a computer? I recently had a game of boules oon the beach without boules... me and a friend plus my kids threw similar looking rocks at a previously tossed smaller one. It was GREAT!!! music...is elvis any less relevent than some hip hop kid whacking out lame tunes cos he has the tools to lay down his whack lyrics... or is the ANCIENT sun recordings a bit better? Gameplay. DC has loads. But with lush graphics. I think therefore I am not so clever.

Shenmue 1's speech made my eyes water. The "Hey mister!!" from every kid you walked past made me wanna switch off the game!
I started the game again and let the little girl get smacked in the face by the football, just to take out some anger on the horrid voice acting.
