The Most Important Movie I Have Ever Seen

Having watched the movie 'V For Vendetta' for at least the fifth time, I have come to the conclusion that it is the most important film I have ever seen. Not the most entertaining, not the most enjoyable, not the one with the most artistic expression or stunning visuals, but the most important nevertheless.

For the film itself is an allegory, loaded to the hilt with truth. Truth about government and it's potential tyranny. Truth about the all pervasive fascism that encroaches upon our very existence. The global domination of the Bush administration and its supporters in the Coalition. The support given by the UK government to the "War against terror", when they themselves are the biggest terrorists in the world right now.

The lies spouted by them, and the way in which the media the BBC, Sky, Fox and CNN slavishly replicate them. The manipulation of the "sheeple", lead towards a fascist global domination, one government , one currency, one religion. A microchipped and monitored population, with freedom of expression and the voice of dissent extinguished.

Think very carefully about what you have been told is the truth. Question authority. Look for the truth behind official statements and tabloid lies. Stand tall, walk without fear and speak out against injustice.

If all this seems a bit out of place and out of character with the musings on this particular blog, then all I ask is that you watch the movie (or read the graphic novel if you prefer) and think carefully about it's messages. You might also want to check out the links. Or you may not. It's entirely up to you...
